If you sell on eBay, it can be difficult to sell internationally. There are customs forms you have to deal with, shipping to foreign countries can be expensive, and import charges and fees are never fun. While we can take care of the customs forms for you, shipping internationally is probably still a bit more difficult than shipping domestically.
Well, if you’re an eBay seller, they just launched a new program that may pique your interest. It’s called the Global Shipping Program, and it’s great news for you. And guess what? We’re already compatible with it! Because of how it works, you don’t have to change your current processes in ShipStation to organize your orders or ship them. Because eBay’s shipping centers are located domestically, it’s also cheaper for you to send your items internationally through their service.
To see how it works, check out this awesome video from eBay. (My favorite part is around 0:28!)
The program is in pilot right now, and eBay’s estimating the full rollout will happen sometime in 2013. If you’d like to get more information (and possibly opt in), you can find it on eBay’s page here.
