If you’re a Shopify user (or even likely if you are not), you probably heard the news earlier this week that Shopify launched a POS system. Called Shopify POS, it puts Shopify in the middle of the point-of-sale system war with Square, Groupon, Paypal, Yelp, and traditional folks like Verifone. Many of Shopify’s over 60,000 stores are selling online and in traditional brick and mortar stores, so it was a natural and great move to make.

Shopify POS is an iPad application that lets you sell your Shopify store’s products in a physical, retail setting. It’s quick and easy: browse your store’s catalog, pick a customer’s products, swipe their credit card, and print their receipt or send it through email. -Shopify

We are happy to share that our dev team worked quickly to be able to release a change (it actually went live last night) to our Shopify integration that allows Shopify POS transaction to also flow into ShipStation. We love being able to roll out these types of changes for our users so we can continue to a solid partner in growing their businesses.
