What’s the story behind Tasty Superfoods and how you all came to have your best year-to-date in 2015?

We started out in 2005 with our first product: an Ayurvedic spice mix. It was sold exclusively in the bulk section of our local health food store. It quickly became popular so we added more Ayurvedic products. Soon we had 3 spice mixes, 5 Ayurvedic loose teas, Ayurvedic shampoos, and an herbal coffee substitute. Then we wanted to see if we’d have success selling online. We wanted to start out with a product that would have appeal to people who weren’t necessarily familiar with Ayurveda, so we picked our herbal coffee substitute, Ayurvedic Roast.

After a few years selling online, we had a regular clientele, so we decided to add our other products as well, so we created an unified web store where people could find them all. That was the birth of TastySuperfoods.com. And thanks to the amazingly efficient, easy-to-use, and customizable ShipStation software, we had the best year ever in 2015, surpassing all our other years combined!

Before ShipStation, what was the biggest hurdle you all faced in getting your product to your customers?

Efficiency was always an issue. Importing orders, printing labels, matching labels to packing slips were all very cumbersome and time-consuming processes until we started using ShipStation. ShipStation solved all our shipping issues, in an easy-to-use interface. I also can’t believe how cheap the monthly subscription is! Of all our business expenses, the monthly rate paid to ShipStation has got to be delivering the best ROI of all our software applications.

How has ShipStation helped you with your business?

It’s been a miracle in terms of time saved, organization, and making all our printed shipping materials uniform and professional in appearance.

What’s your favorite ShipStation feature?

We love that we can connect as many marketplaces/selling channels as we want, with no extra fees. This is truly the best deal of all business productivity tools currently on the market. The fact that we can set-up rules, and automate common tasks, makes printing and paying for labels quick and easy instead of a long and arduous task.
