ShipStation Expands Partnership with Stitch Labs and Industry Leader Shopify

September 5, 2012

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 5, 2012 — ShipStation, the leading web-based shipping solution company for online retailers, announced today that it is expanding its partnership with e-commerce industry leader, Shopify. The partnership knits together ShipStation’s powerful order import, batch label creation, customer communication, order automation rules and returns management software with Shopify’s 30,000+ online retailers. “Shopify is a highly attractive platform for online sellers that want to easily expand their e-commerce business beyond the traditional online marketplaces,” says Byron Wier, Co-founder and Product Director at ShipStation. “This partnership not only introduces ShipStation to a whole new set of retailers looking for a better shipping solution, but it also offers a new, online retailing option to our current customers.”

In addition to test-driving ShipStation’s cloud technology and API tool through a free, 30-day trial, current Shopify customers can now also sample ShipStation’s fulfillment partnerships with other e-commerce players, such as eBay, Amazon, Sears, Etsy and Buy.com.

“ShipStation has proven to be an awesome order management suite for hundreds of our merchants,” says Blair Beckwith, Developer Advocate at Shopify. “We’re thrilled to have them be one of the most popular apps in the Shopify App Store, and consistently get great feedback on their offering from our merchants. We can’t wait to see how their offering improves from here.”

Herstar, a high-end shoe retailer, has used the services that Shopify and ShipStation offer to create a unified shipping process for its company. “Not only is their product the easiest and most thorough we have ever used, but their customer service is beyond exceptional,” says Holly Joffrion of Herstar.  This integration has helped secure an even more fluid process for order fulfillment for small companies like Herstar and offers multiple marketplaces for Holly to ship her shoes from, all the while keeping customers happy.

In addition to Shopify, companies like Herstar can further improve their order-fulfillment process by ShipStation’s full integration with Stitch Labs, an online software that manages inventory and orders across multiple channels. “Our partnership with Stitch Labs has solved yet another pain-point for online retailers-allowing them to manage their listings and inventory across multiple channels,” says Wier.  “By combining ShipStation, Shopify and Stitch, retailers can employ a suite of specialized applications to simplify complex logistics in their fulfillment process.”

When asked about his thoughts on integrating with Shopify and ShipStation, Brandon Levey, CEO of Stitch Labs, had this to say, “Not too long ago, businesses were forced to use expensive, time consuming software applications. Today, with innovative web-based applications like ShipStation, Shopify, and Stitch working together, businesses can easily manage shipping, inventory, and sales seamlessly across multiple channels at a fraction of the former cost.”

“We save our customers time and money because our system cuts a seller’s shipping time anywhere from one half to one third. This means more time for selling and less time fulfilling,” says Wier. As a result, ShipStation processes over 1 million shipping labels each month for approximately 2,500 online retail stores, with 90% of all online retailers testing the company’s 30-day free trial offer converting to full time customers.
