ShipStation Expands Shopify Integration to Include POS Support

New Feature Allows Shopify Customers to Automatically and Seamlessly Import Retail and Web Orders into ShipStation

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 30, 2013 — ShipStation the leading web-based shipping solution for online retailers, today announced an enhancement to the company’s Shopify integration, allowing customers to import orders from Shopify POS. Business owners can now import retail orders directly into ShipStation from Shopify POS, just as they do with their Shopify web store orders.

The news follows the August 28th announcement of Shopify POS, an integrated point of sale system built by the ecommerce giant to bridge the gap between offline and online retail. “This enhancement will streamline the ordering process for a large group of current Shopify customers who also operate brick and mortar stores,” said Robert Gilbreath, VP of Marketing for ShipStation. “Retailers without an ecommerce presence can now access ShipStation’s powerful order automation and returns management software via their Shopify POS System.
