Come August 28th, you might notice a couple of changes in a couple of USPS services. Some of these changes are good, some may mean you spend a bit more money. So let’s dig in!

Rate Increases

USPS First Class Parcel weighing 1 oz, 2 oz, and 3 oz has cost $2.45 since January 2016. On August 28th, these weights will increase to $2.60, matching the price of 4 oz – 8 oz for the same service. In ShipStation, this means that when you select First Class Mail with package type of Package, any items weight 1 oz – 3 oz will now be $2.60.

New Services

You will now be able to ship to Cuba via Priority Mail Express International! This increases the services to Cuba, which currently include First-Class Mail International, First-Class Package International Service, and Priority Mail International. Flat rate envelopes, up to 4 pounds, for Priority Mail Express International and parcels, up to 22 pounds, will now be available for use to Cuba as well.

That’s all for now! Stay tuned for any other rate changes!
