PrintPost is a white-label print and framing fulfilment service that allows artists to create and ship prints of their work worldwide. Their warehouse and office space in Essex contains several top-of-the-line printers and other pieces of luxurious tech. However, even the best hardware can’t do its best job without the right software.

Hands-On Isn’t Always Best

Before PrintPost began using ShipStation in 2019, the fulfilment team needed to be extremely hands-on with the shipping process, which could lead to errors and slower processing times. Now, PrintPost is shipping up to 20,000 orders a month using ShipStation.

“Before, we were very manual. We were physically typing out labels one by one,” says Gary Crossland, Head of Operations at PrintPost. “Having this automated system has just relieved that pressure. We can now comfortably do well over a thousand shipments every single day.”

Perfect Customisation = Happy Clients

PrintPost integrates with Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, and Not On The Highstreet to facilitate a seamless experience for both the customer and the fulfilment team.

“I can find everything easily so if a customer asked me where their order is or what’s the status of the order, ShipStation is able to provide me all that information,” says Martina Lysakova, Head of Customer Service at PrintPost. For me, it is like kind of my best friend because I wouldn’t be able to do my job without the ShipStation.”

PrintPost’s workflow begins and ends with ShipStation. Each order from every marketplace populates automatically within the software. From there, PrintPost generates a packing list and sends it to the factory for packing. With all the basics covered, after that, it’s all about customisation.

“I can then put any specific details that that client likes, what type of paper they print on, what sort of frame they have on. When the packing slip comes downstairs for the warehouse, they then have all information,” says Kate Hutson, Customer Service and Sales Team Member.

Expanding with ShipStation at Their Side

Now that PrintPost has conceived a sustainable – and profitable – workflow, it only makes sense to broaden their horizons even further. The company has broken ground on new fulfilment houses in the US, and just opened another within the EU.

“I think the future of Print Post is huge,” says Gary. “ShipStation is there to really support you. It’s going to open up a lot of opportunities.”
