A sink never feels clean after a beard trimming and I’ve clogged my fair share, too (and painstakingly unclogged). Was there a particular breaking point for you that led to the birth of the Beard Bib?


I was extremely excited when I started growing facial hair, but I quickly discovered that grooming was a very messy and time consuming task. Getting yelled at as a teenager by my mother, and now as an adult by my wife I figured there had to be something out there that could make things easier then putting down a towel or t-shirt, but there wasn’t.

One day, after few glasses of wine, the idea hit me!

I got my sketchbook out and started drawing the initial concept. Then i started cutting, gluing and stapling any random material I could find to form the concept I had in my mind. It was hideous, but it worked!

Which of your beard oils has your favorite scent?


Unbiasedly, I like all of them, but if I had to pick one…I prefer “Knight” as it’s a bold, woodsy scent with a touch of Frankincense. My beard just feels like royalty when I use it.

BEARD KING offers free shipping on orders over $40—do you find that translates to bigger orders from your customers as they try to hit the $40 mark?

Yes and no. That offer applies to USA orders only but we sell world-wide. That said, we do find first-time buyers come to purchase the flagship product, the Beard Bib. However as we release cool new supporting products the ticket prices do rise to hit over the $40 mark.

How has ShipStation helped you with your business?

We used another Shopify shipping app (won’t name names) that we quickly outgrew when it came to batch processing orders. After reading great reviews on Ship Station, we decided to give it a try. I have to admit that at first, there was a slight learning curve to the UI (or so we thought) so we stuck with the original shipping app.

After quickly realizing we needed a bigger and more powerful solution, we sucked it up and learned how to utilize ShipStation. With the help of your Support staff we were quickly up and running and never looked back!

What’s your favorite ShipStation feature?

The whole platform as a whole works great to streamline the logistics process. If I had to choose one favorite feature, it would be the original problem we had when we outgrew the other app: It’s the batch processing feature! Being able to quickly generates a batch of orders helps save us a tremendous of time and effort!
