The other coordinates orders across 62 different ship-from addresses for a spice company that sells to home cooks, restaurants, and big-box retailers, all at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s tempting to read that as big business versus small business. But neither shipping challenge is bigger than the other\u2014they’re just different problems, and they call for different strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every shipping strategy is really an answer to one question: what’s the actual risk you’re managing? For some businesses, the risk lives in a single shipment. Get it wrong, and the cost is enormous.
