The Austin-based software company has been included in the Top Workplaces list for the second year in a row

AUSTIN, Texas — November 15, 2018—ShipStation, the leading web-based e-commerce shipping solution, has been named a Top Workplace for 2018 by the Austin American-Statesman. This is the second year in a row the Austin-based software company has been included in the Top Workplaces list.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage by, the employee engagement software provider used American-Statesman for its Top Workplaces list. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

Once a company has been nominated, Energage administers anonymous surveys to gather feedback from employees about specific aspects of their workplace culture. Employees are asked how they feel about company values, organizational leadership, the office environment, and how the business supports their wellbeing.

Whether a company is included in the Top Workplaces list is based solely on the responses provided by its workforce. While any Central Texas company with 50 or more employees was eligible for nomination, only 101 were named Top Workplaces this year.

“A company without happy, satisfied employees can’t expect to have happy, satisfied customers,” said Nathan Jones, President & CEO of ShipStation. “It’s as simple as that. We know the future of ShipStation is 100% dependent on how engaged our employees are.”

“Being named a Top Workplace two years in a row tells us we’re making the right decisions about how we show our dedication to the health and happiness of our employees as well as our commitment to building and maintaining an employee-centric culture.”
