Craft Beerd

We here at ShipStation love our beer (especially our local stuff); from where did creating a design brand around it stem?

I’ve enjoyed craft beer for quite some time. I believe around 2005-2006 is when I started to get “into it”. My previous background before Craft Beerd was a video game designer for 10 years: but I was built from graphic design. In 2013 I decided I was tired of boring corporate logo design and set a mission for myself to focus 100% on “beer art”. That manifested into making logos for beer bars, breweries… and from those artsy suds, Craft Beerd was born – a focus of making Beer Art & Apparel. I decided to officially brew my two passions together, Graphic Design & Craft Beer.

Bacon OR beer? You must choose. (And then tell us why you chose what you did.)

This is like choosing your first born or your second…BEER. It’s really a no-brainer. Yes. bacon can be prepared in many ways, but beer is so beergasmic and pairs with many many things :)

How has ShipStation helped you with your business?

Craft Beerd is a little over a year new now but in the beginning it was all a manual, slooowww, shipping process. When I discovered ShipStation (I believe I heard of it while doing a search on Mark Cuban), I was enamored by the concept of automation, discounted shipping, organization and ease. Really, ShipStation changed my world just like my first kiss. Anytime I have colleagues who start online businesses, immediately I tell them about ShipStation and all of a sudden I am getting free beer…so thank you!

What’s your favorite ShipStation feature?

Is this another must choose Bacon or Beer question? There really are a lot of great things about it. But one that does stand out is the ability to specify on a per SKU/Item basis it’s exact weight and specifications such as how its being shipped. This feature alone saves a lot of time when an order comes in. Its automated to the point where you just get the rate and print the slip. No weighing needed if you are shipping items that are built on a template so to speak.
