Yes. When you ship an order, ShipStation automatically sends a shipment notification back to your connected store or marketplace. That update includes the order number, carrier, shipping service, and tracking number so your store can mark the order as shipped and display tracking details to your customer. Exactly what is shown in your store depends on the platform, but in most cases ShipStation will send: For Custom Store integrations, your developer can use our ShipStation Custom Store specification so your system receives shipping method, shipping status, tracking number, and more via a POST notification when an order ships. ShipStation also tracks in transit and delivered statuses inside the app and on your branded tracking page, using carrier tracking events. Your selling channel might show its own delivery updates based on the tracking number, but ShipStation’s job is to push shipped status and tracking data back to your store as soon as you create the label — or on a delay if you’ve configured notifications that way.
