What is Neem & how did you find out about it?

We first learned about Neem from a friend that had visited Mauritania, West Africa, to help identify economic develop opportunities after the country had gone through a severe drought. The Neem tree caught his eye: it was flourishing along the sides of the roads, while everything else was dry and sandy. It turns out the Neem tree thrives in arid climates, including this part of
Africa on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Neem has been used as a natural skin care remedy for centuries, especially Neem oil. It is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal – it’s great to help
heal wounds and to keep your skin healthy. Our company JustNeem makes Neem soaps, Neem lotions and many other
natural Neem products.

With natural products, it must be difficult to ship in warmer climates; how do you handle that & what advice do you have for other natural sellers?

We are always keeping an eye out for things that might impede the high quality of our products so we can stay ahead of the game. One simple thing we do is make sure the packages stay in a climate controlled location until they are picked up by the shipping carrier. Most of our natural skin care products are relatively stable, but same-day shipping helps us ensure the quickest delivery times for all our packages.

Before we started partnering with ShipStation, we typed all our address labels by hand, weighed each package individually and printed packing slips and shipping labels one-by-one. That worked fine for a while, but everything changed when Dr. Oz featured some of our Neem products on his show! Suddenly, we were knee deep in orders and printing quickly became the bottleneck of our entire operation. We desperately needed to find a way to scale up our process, and were delighted to find ShipStation. We were seriously in awe of all the incredible time-saving features that ShipStation had to offer, everything from batch printing orders to assigning weights. It was amazing and made shipping our products so much easier.

What’s your favorite ShipStation feature?

From day one, we were impressed with the ShipStation team and their willingness to help. Their prompt responses to all my questions were extremely helpful. It’s a great partnership, and we are in this together.

We also love the batch printing feature and the order reports! ShipStation really takes things to the next level — such as offering sales reports that let us to prepare our inventory while we’re still printing out the orders.
