Offer Genie lets customers earn deep discounts by engaging on social media, through sharing, following, and liking. How was the idea to integrate social media into the process born?

The idea to integrate came from our own interaction in social media within our daily personal lives. We realized how engaged everyone is in social media and how strong of a tool it can be. Its not just about having followers, but more importantly, knowing how to engage these followers with strong content, quality products, and the lowest prices around. We continue to see rapid growth in our social media reach and are so thankful for all the great customers and followers.

What’s the best tip or trick you have for managing immense order volume?

The best tip… hmmm… thats a tough one. Have a strong cup of Cuban coffee in-hand when walking into a high volume day at the office! Just kidding—I can honestly say that for us its been rather simple to handle large volume days all thanks to ShipStation and its capability of handling 2 orders or 20,000 orders with ease. I think the biggest tip I can give is to put together a great team of people that share your vision for success. We are very lucky to have an amazing team around us and we have built a very strong work flow process that keeps us running efficiently.

You all have been using ShipStation since mid-2013—how have the changes and new features impacted how you all run your business?

I would say that it took some of our staff a little bit to get used to the new ShipStation, but once they did, everyone loved it! Every department has their own ShipStation favorite function. Customer support really loves how quickly they can search and find an order; this is really important for them when they have a customer on the line. The processors love how easy it is to create and add orders to a batch and ultimately batch out thousands of orders at once. Bookkeeping loves the amount of detailed reporting available; this makes her life much easier when trying to invoice for orders. Speaking as a business owner my favorite feature is the addition of new selling channels; this to me is the key to growth for us and for ShipStation. The ecommerce space is still in its infancy stages and changes happen every day, being able to introduce new selling channels makes it very easy for us to process orders. We have made some large investments in automating our workflow and when a channel is introduced it ties in perfectly with our system and makes the entire process that much easier. Center Link Media (OfferGenie’s sister company) is constantly bringing in new sales channels every month and expect to have well over 100 different sales channels by end of the year.

How has ShipStation helped you with your business?

ShipStation has been a crucial part of our growth and all around the business since we began. Up until we switched to ShipStation, we had been doing everything manually and it was so time-consuming. We were a 2 man show with 1 person helping us pack and ship orders out. We were working in a 300 square foot office and we were just starting out. Once we introduced ShipStation everything changed. Processing an order became fast and easy. We went from 50 orders a week and 1 employee to 6000+ orders per week and 18 employees. ShipStation has been there every step of the way helping us grow and ship close to 500 thousand packages a year.

What’s your favorite ShipStation feature?

My favorite ShipStation feature is the app and how much you can actually get done with your smartphone. It’s amazing!
