From migration guidance to ongoing support, our team is with you every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition.
Support for customers
We are bringing Endicia Label Server (ELS) under the ShipStation API platform family. This change brings new features and functionality to you without requiring any changes to your existing API code or workflow.
Yes, your existing XML-based Endicia API code will continue to work without any changes. This means you can keep printing labels, calculating rates, and tracking shipments just like you always have.
No, you do not need to rebuild or re-integrate your existing setup. Your current integration will be preserved and will continue to function as-is. The purpose of this migration is to give you access to new features within ShipStation API.
With your new ShipStation account, you’ll gain access to the ShipStation API Enterprise package which gives you multi-carrier shipping, our latest analytics capabilities, enterprise-grade reliability and speed, and easy tools to build customer-facing checkout experiences.

To use new ShipStation API functionality, you can add new JSON-based endpoints alongside your existing Endicia XML code. You’ll use a new ShipStation API key, which you can manage in the new ShipStation API Portal. You can use both the old and new code together in the same development environment.
The existing Endicia API portal will be retired. You will now manage all your API keys, carrier settings, and usage through the new ShipStation API Portal.
Through the ShipStation API login, you’ll see a link to the Endicia Web Client on the left side navigation. Through Endicia Web Client you’ll be able to manage refunds or print one-off labels.
You will have unlimited access to ShipStation Enterprise package functionality through the end of February. Your pricing will not change unless you choose to upgrade to a higher-tier ShipStation plan to activate additional capabilities after February. If you only use your existing Endicia functionality, you will remain on your current pricing plan.
We will be providing proactive support to help with this transition. Once you log in to the new portal, you’ll find in-app guidance, documentation, and technical support to help you get comfortable with the new platform and unlock any new features you’d like to use.
Support for partners
