FedEx Peak Surcharge, July 2021: What to Expect
FedEx has announced three peak surcharges that will impact both FedEx Express and FedEx Ground services effective June 21st, 2021. Some of these surcharges are continuations of earlier surcharges. Others are new surcharges.
These rates are a result of the growing strain that increased parcel volume is putting on carriers. These surcharges allow FedEx to keep up with expected delivery timeframes while also scaling increased fleet maintenance and staffing demands.
