The ShipStation crew, partners and users had a blast at IRCE 2017 this year! Check out our video:

Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE), is known as the world’s largest eCommerce show. Some call it the ‘Super Bowl’ of eCommerce. If you have attended before you will know why.

McCormick Place West in Chicago was the venue. A fitting venue, considering it’s the largest convention center in North America, with over 2.6 million sq. ft. of exhibit halls.

The exhibit hall for IRCE featured over 600 vendors and covered over 250,000 square feet of space. It can take a couple of hours to walk from one end to the other, no joke. (see below)

So why do so many people attend each year? Well… a conference full of industry experts, an exhibit hall filled with the latest and greatest solution providers, and a community made for networking with thousands of like-minded industry peers. With vendors in nearly every category available – including marketing, fulfillment, e-commerce platforms and new retail technology and more – you are sure to find the solutions you need at IRCE.

When it comes to trade shows, IRCE 2017 is one of ShipStation’s biggest investments and with good reason. Located in prime real estate the ShipStation booth looked fantastic and stood out from every corner. An attendee was overheard saying to another, “Let’s meet at the big ShipStation booth.”

Many people come to IRCE for different reasons. Some to show off their product, others to meet existing users and partners. Some just come to see what’s going on in the eCommerce world. Many of the partners we spoke with, stated that it’s great to put a ‘face to a name’, they are able to get more done face to face in a couple of days, than weeks of back and forth via email.

Here’s what some of the ShipStation staff had to say about IRCE;

“Now six years and counting, IRCE once again proved to be the grand-daddy of all eCommerce conferences! Catching up with old friends, meeting new people, and building new relationships in one of the greatest cities on earth is beyond comparison. I already can’t wait for number seven!” – Curtis Mitchell (Director, Business Development)

“A year’s worth of new opportunities and partnerships in a single week.” – John Kinny (Vice President)

“An opportunity to see the technologies, companies and people influencing retail eCommerce in the future.” Krish Iyer (Director, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development)

“IRCE is where exciting customer experiences and partnerships are formed.” Charla Session-Reed (Senior Partner Marketing & Events Manager)

“A successful first exposure of our new baby ShipEngine to the eCommerce world” Russell Griffin (Senior Director, Channels)

“IRCE is always great for visiting with old friends/partners/users, meeting with new folks, and continuing the eCommerce excitement – this year was no different!” Robert Gilbreath (Vice President, Marketing)
