Thanks for joining us for the past few days to learn more about the core features that come with our newly updated interface! If you’re just now tuning in, feel free to check our other posts in the “Welcome to the New ShipStation” series: Pt. 1 – Insights, Pt. 2 – Site Navigation & Order Processing, Pt. 3 – Label Creation & Shipments. I’ll be closing us out by going over our enhancements to the Customers, Products, and Settings pages. So, let’s get right to it, starting with Customers!

Customers

We’ve kept this area simple, consolidating the three panes from the classic ShipStation interface down to one. Now you can more easily review and find your customers with the compacted search and the filters bar. Click the customer’s name to review all of the orders they’ve placed with your store(s).

Products

search-productsThe products page has changed a bit more than the customers page, and we’ve added a couple new features. First, search has been compacted, like on most of our other pages to include the product name, SKU, and warehouse location fields.

We’ve also included the filters bar that you’ve seen on other pages so that you can more quickly segmenting your products.

Settings

This entire area has been reorganized to help you find and update your account settings and preferences. Let’s go over some of the most significant changes.

document-printoptionsFirst, printing: all settings related to printing have been moved to the Printing Setup section of the settings area. As you can see in the above screenshot, each document type now has its own document options and printing settings. You can also change the size and default printer for each document.

Additionally, these settings are now saved per user & browser combination. This means you can have different printing configurations set up across multiple browsers and computers for each of your users.

While creating automation rules, you now have inline filtering to select the order segment to which you want to apply rules (in addition to using a saved filter).

To help with creating a fully branded customer experience, we’ve added the ability to copy email templates in addition to creating new ones. Additionally, we’ve also upgraded our HTML editor to help with editing and writing the code for new and existing templates.

That’s it for our overview of the new ShipStation! Both Erika & I have enjoyed showing you all the new stuff. The features we’ve gone over the past few days are just the beginning of what we hope to release with this new, flexible interface. If you haven’t already, we’d love for you to give the new ShipStation a shot. Simply login to your account and click on the “Check out the new version” button in the top bar.
