April is Earth Month, which means both shippers and consumers have sustainability on their minds. But, with online retail spending up 44% in 2020, even the most eco-conscious consumers are finding themselves wading through mountains of boxes and packaging materials. And to make matters more complicated, local regulations prohibit these packaging materials from being recycled residentially in many cities.

That’s why, this Earth Day, April 22, 2021, we’re inviting our Austin, Texas neighbors to join us for a recycling drive from 10 am to 4 pm at 4009 Marathon Austin, Texas 78756. A joint effort across the four Austin headquartered Auctane brands — ShipStation, ShippingEasy, ShipEngine, and ShipWorks, we’ll be collecting cardboard boxes, as well as those not-so-blue-cart-friendly packaging materials: padded mailers, corrugated fiberboard, shrink wrap, and air pillows.

Planning to participate? Simply show up with your materials for donation, and we’ll help take care of the rest. Keep an eye out for signs guiding you to the parking garage at 4009 Marathon. We’ll have onsite volunteers from our team ready to assist in unloading.

But we’re not stopping there — after the event, Auctane employees will celebrate the efforts of our local community by planting one tree for every 10 lbs of materials donated.
