The mission of Stay Roasted is to make better coffee drinkers by providing access to artisanal organic coffee beans from independent organic roasters from all around the country – delivering them fresh to your doorstep every 2 weeks.
Over the past four years, I have been able to reclaim my health and fitness by eliminating all process foods from my diet, focusing instead on fresh, seasonal, organic products and meats – losing over a hundred pounds in the process. It was only fitting that I also examined my favorite daily drink and asked, “Is this stuff organic, ethically sourced, and does it taste amazing enough for me to want to drink it every single day?”
My search for the best coffee led me to look at online coffee subscription services since some of the local roasters in my area were certified organic; however, none seemed to offer what I was looking for.
Enter Stay Roasted. We created a plan that combined all the standards that we consider important for feeling good about drinking coffee every day. Sustainability: 100% organic single-origin beans, freshness: bi-weekly delivery, and community: partnering with small, USDA certified organic roasters from all over the country.
As Oscar Wilde said, “Everything in moderation, including moderation.” We usually stick to two or three cups, but sometimes you just can’t stop brewing!
We are currently lucky enough to be shipping from 6 partner roasters from all over the country and have more partnerships in the works. Being able to plug our e-commerce backend directly into ShipStation, assign a subscriber’s next shipment to the appropriate coffee roaster, and generate labels turned what was originally the most anxiety-producing element of the business into the easiest! We literally just plugged in and we were ready to ship.
Am I allowed to have two favorites? The first is the e-commerce integration that required zero technical understanding to get set up – it was quite literally ‘zero to ship in no time’. My other favorite is the order interface. From a usability perspective, it is very well thought-out, and I can customize it to show exactly the information that I need to quickly organize a week’s worth of orders going out from all my coffee roasting partners.
