This year’s Australia Post Christmas cut-off and other holiday posting deadlines are quickly approaching. During the holidays, there’s one thing you need to take care of: your shipping and fulfilment process.

You need to find out the holiday shipping cutoff dates of your preferred couriers. However, you don’t need to worry about the hassle of visiting each courier’s website to find their specific last posting dates for Christmas—we’ve already done it.
Parcel Post: Monday, 22 December for same state deliveries and Friday, 19 December for interstate deliveries.** Please note, the cut-off dates for interstate deliveries vary from state-to-state, so please be sure to check here for the specific cut-off date for your state.

Permanent Collections:
Priority and Standard Road Parcel permanent collections will be suspended (excluding Medical & Government Freight via the Priority network) from 27 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 inclusive – resuming on Monday 5 January 2026.
During this period, collections can be booked through myteamge.com up to 7 days in advance.
Alternatively, customers can discuss their requirements with their TGE account manager by December 5 if you wish for your permanent collections to continue.
All other services will continue as normal.
Delivery outside major cities, including to and from rural or remote areas will take longer, particularly South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territories, Tasmania and North Queensland. Delivery to and from rural locations within New Zealand may take up to an additional 3 working days.
Cut-off dates are targets only. Sending before the cut-off dates gives you the best chance of getting your item where it needs to be for Christmas. These dates are correct as of 13 October 2025, but may change due to unforeseen service impacts. For more information, please refer to the NZ Post updates.
If you use our holiday shipping deadlines to start your holiday prep now, you’ll have plenty of time to calculate your own cutoff dates for Christmas. And once you know your shipping schedule, you can start optimising your shipping workflow to handle increased order volume. Additionally, you’ll have more time to determine which shipping promotions are best for your business and your customers.
